Our story:
The idea of Byourself started one night on 2018, I was completely depressed and with a lot of craft materials in my room because my mom always loved the idea of making her own jewelry, so when I couldn’t sleep I decided to try to make a bracelet. I found some beads and letters and the first bracelet I made said “Viernes” which translated to English means Friday, it was a nickname a person I love gave me no so long ago. I told my mom that I wanted to make more and she started to help me, it was a great way to keep our minds busy from the problems we were facing. After making some bracelets, necklaces and earrings for us I told her “What if we started to sell them? What if we become a huge company one day?” She laughed, and say “let’s do it”. From there we just kept going, and here we are.
What does Byourself means?
The name comes from the idea that everyone is different, that we need to embrace it and love it, if you want to wear gold hoops, do it, if you wanna wear some ants in your earrings DO IT! In this time we are living we need more people being themselves and spreading love and what better idea to do it while you look awesome!
How are we eco-friendly?
Byourself also has a story behind the “eco-friendly” part we put in our bios, and is because we know the consequences that our business does to the environment, that’s why we started to have more eco-friendly products and services, we are not perfect so not everything is like this but we do our best, that’s why we are asking our clients to understand us and be patient in our journey to become the brand we want to be :)
Who does the products?
Me, Jimena Franco the owner and co-founder of Byourself and my beautiful mom who teaches me everything she knows :)
Why does it say you are a bilingual store?
Me and my mom both speak fluent Spanish, so we offer the description of our products in both languages for our Latinx clients, just to make them feel more comfortable, so if you want to approach us in Spanish you can totally do it! :)
Are the items real gold or silver?
No, we are really sorry but we don't use real gold or silver
